Don't Cry over Spilled Cat Food

It seems almost every time Momo eats he spills the food and when I tell him not to do it he says " Don't cry over spilled cat food."
You see every time Momo is done eating, he tries to bury the food.
We think he tries to bury his food because it was probably something his mom taught him to do when he was a little kitten living outside to hide the food from other animals.

I tried moving the food bowl to try to break his habit but it only works for a time or two .
( Momo eats a lot , he is a growing boy)
And when he and Maxx eat dry cat food they eat out of the same bowl and Maxx doesn't like the bowl moved so much because of her O. C.D.
Momo has his own bowl but when he is hungry he always goes to the closest food bowl and he also has a bowl for his moist food that he tries to bury too.

So I will just have to keep cleaning up spilled cat food until the Mo Man figures out he can't bury his food in the house.

Feeding Sadie Part Three

If you remember a little while ago we did a couple of posts about how hard it is to get Sadie to eat. We had some great suggestions everything from baby food to yogurt and a grain free diet to a raw diet.

We tried yogurt and she wouldn't touch it and I heard baby food isn't good for dogs because it has onion power in it.

We did a lot of reading about raw diets, and we had some concerns about bacteria and stuff and decided that it wasn't for us.
People who feed their animals a raw diet really like it though, and say that there has been a lot of improvement in their animals .

We did some reading on the grain free diet to and decided that was the diet for Sadie.
A lot of dogs that have food allergies eat a grain free diet.
A lot of dogs tend to gain weight on food filled with grains.
Grain free food uses fruits and vegetables in place of grains.
dogs are more energetic on a grain free diet.

We decided to try Taste of the Wild, but Sadie likes Evo better so that is what she is eating.
We mix a little dry food with moist food.
( our vet says that " A dog should have some dry food because it is better for their teeth.)
Sadie has been eating a mostly grain free diet for a few weeks now.
She has lost some weight, and has a lot more energy.
Momo has been eating some grain free moist kitten and cat food to, he likes Evo too.
Maxx on the other hand is very set in her ways and prefers to eat her old cat food.

The only problem is that in our area the pet stores that do have it only seem to carry one flavor of it and it is recommended that you feed all three of the flavors, so that your animal gets a more balanced diet.
Sadie doesn't like eating the same food all the time either, so we may have to order it online or at a pet store.

Feeding Sadie Part two

we had a few good suggestions for getting Sadie to eat.
Our friend Miley said "She like it when her mom puts warm water on her food."
So that's what I did, I put warm water on Sadie's food.
It didn't work.
Sadie just said " All I was doing was making my finger messy when I feed her."
Momo on the other hand loved it.
He said " It brings out the meaty scent."

Our fiend Kris Said to try a raw diet, her dog and cat can't get enough of it.
I have tried many natural food but I never tried the raw diet, I might give that a try.

Our fiend Twix wants to know how to train her mom to hand feed her too.
Sadie says " It takes time to train people right, you have to not touch you food all day, then watch them very close when they are eating, and finally you have to give them the look. You know the one, the on that says PPLLLEEASE. And if you need any other help tricking or training your Two Leggers you can also ask Frankie. He might know some more trick"

Feeding Sadie

Most people think it is easy to feed a dog and it is .
Get a dog dish and put food in it.
But they never fed Sadie.
Sadie will gladly eat treat or steal Jack's food.
And I tried giving her the same food Jack eats, but when Jack isn't eating it, she won't eat it either.
But the only way I can get her to eat her dog food is to get down on the floor and pick the food up one by one until I hold up the piece she wants to eat.
So it takes me a little more time to feed Sadie.
We have tried several different dog foods and I even put her food in the microwave. ( because warm food smells more and dogs and cat want to eat it then.)
Sadie says " She is every formal and wants her food served, instead of just eating it from her dish."
