Wordless Wednesday 9/30/09

Sadie loves playing with her dad, in fact she loves playing with everyone who will play.

She also likes napping though to!

Is that My Kennel

Momo is starting to feel a little better.

He is getting so active now.

Sadie just loves having him around.

But after spending the morning and part of the afternoon playing a game of chase with Sadie, he needs to take a nap.

Momo's new favorite place to catch an afternoon nap is in Sadie's kennel.

Sadie says " She doesn't mind just as long as he knows Momo knows that the kennel is all hers at night."

Sadie says"She needs her kennel to think and stuff."

So Momo is willing to let Sadie have her kennel at night.

Over the past day or two Momo has started to feel a lot better, and Sadie and Momo are really becoming good buddies.

If Momo continues to get better over the next couple of days, he won't have to be kept away from other cats.

So hopefully in a couple of days he will finally meet Maxx, and she can share in the fun Sadie and Momo have been having.

Maxx has been waiting patiently.

When Sadie does this, she says "She has an itch on her back that she can't reach."

Update on Momo

This morning we woke up to Momo at Sadie's kennel again, which is a good sign, meaning that he is starting to feel a little better.

After about twenty minutes or so Momo is ready for a nap.

And then Sadie waits until she can run out to tell Maxx about the fun she is having with Momo, and to let her know how he is doing.

Mean while poor Maxx is still waiting to meet Momo.

Maxx says " she has a lot to teach him."

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to get to some of your blog, but I have been spending most of my time getting Momo on the mend, trying to spend some time with Maxx (she has to be kept away from Momo so she doesn't get sick) and on top of it all I have developed a nasty cold myself.

Kitty Sniffles

The meet and greet with Sadie and Momo went great.

On the way home though we noticed Momo was doing a lot of sneezing.

Yes Momo has the kitty sniffles, so we kept him away from Maxx. (so Maxx doesn't catch the sniffles)

On Friday morning we called the vet and they took him right in, and gave us some medicine for him.(he still can't be around Maxx yet)

Momo is hang out watching a lot of TV, he says" he never watched TV before, and he kinda likes it."

But nurse Sadie is on the job, he is starting to feel a little better.

Momo is getting more active now, but its going to take some time for him to stop sneezing.

We were going to to my parent house (like we always do on Saturday) so Sadie could play with Jack and Momo could meet the rest of the family.

But we decided to stay home because Momo needs his rest, and my parent got a new kitten too, and we didn't want the new kitten or Midnight to catch the sniffle.

Momo is starting to feel a little bit better though, when I got up this morning, Momo was sitting in front of Sadie's kennel patting on the door.

Sadie said " she is glad he is feeling better, but she needs her beauty sleep."

Play Day 9/24/09

Momo is now home with us, and waiting for his Vet visit.

Sadie and Momo have had their meet and greet, and are getting along great.

Momo hasn't had much interaction with Maxx yet, because I would like him to be checked by our Vet first.

But Maxx did come to see him.

Our Family is Growing

OK, Our family is growing.

Sadie and Maxx are getting a new brother, we are adopting him from our local S.P.C.A.

He's not home yet though, because before he can come home the S.P.C.A is going to have him neutered and micro chipped.

We named him Momo.

Sadie and Maxx can't wait!

So Sadie went shopping for Momo last night, she was so excited.

Sadie was trying to decide if he would like a squeaker ball, or maybe a Wubba.

So we helped her with her gift shopping, she still got him a toy made by the Kong company.

Sadie and Maxx are eagerly awaiting for Momo to arrive, hopefully we will get the phone call to day to go pick him up.

Maxx is looking forward to having another cat in the house to, "she says that toys are more fun when you have another cat to play with ."

Wordless Wednes Day 9/23/09

Happy Wordless Wednesday everyone!

What do Bananas and Dachshunds have in Common?

Well other than being long, I really don't know.

But you can never have a banana without Sadie.

She always says "she will trade some of her dog food for a bite of your banana."

She loves them.

(she gets so mad when I tell her I don't want her dog food)

Sadie even has been known to try to steal peanut butter and banana sandwiches to.

She says " bananas are better with peanut butter."

Sadie begs every time someone has one, so we just share.

Still has the New Wubba Smell

Sadie say "I love that new Wubba smell!"

Yes Sadie needed a new Wubba again, she plays so much with her Wubbas that they get all chewed up.

She says she doesn't know how they get chewed, all she does is squeak them when she plays with them.

I was online the other day and found some scary stuff about dog toys containing a lot of dangerous chemicals.

Sadie was relieved to hear her Wubbas are safe though.

Healthystuff.org tested a few dog things for the chemicals, like bed, toys, and tennis balls.

So check this site to see if your toys are safe.

But anyway Sadie found out her Wubba is safe.

So she come up with her new Wubba dance.

And just in case your keeping count of the Wubbas, I think this is number four.

Saturday Adventure

Our Saturday adventure was pretty relaxing this weekend.

My brother was a little under the weather this weekend, so Jack wasn't at my parent's house this weekend.

So Sadie had the grandparents all to herself.

She took advantage of too, all the cuddles were hers, and the treats too.

Sadie noticed somethings were a little different on our way to the grandparents.

So in between the cuddles and treats we went outside to take some pictures.

The leaves are starting to change colors, and Sadie took notice to this.

Sadie said when the leaves fall to the ground, she is going to take a better sniff at them .

But for now she will have to just look at them on the trees.

Get in Your Kennel

Sadie still sleeps in her kennel.

She sleeps with her sleeping buddy, we call him Cellie.

Although I let her get up on the bed with us in the morning, she like sleeping in her kennel.

Its kinda like her own little den.

She says its her place to meditate.

( I can hear her snoring)

She says its her thinking place.

(But I can hear her snoring)

She says its a private place to do yoga.

(But I can hear her snoring)

More Awards!

We got two new awards this week!

We got this one from one of our good cat friends Madi. , so stop over and say hi to Madi and her mom.

And Sadie has been so excited, she keeps running around saying "They all love me!"

And Maxx keeps saying "Who are they?" and then she says " You know you really are getting a big head!"

So I had to talk to them and get them settled down.

After we had our talk , they are getting along better again.

So this award we got from our friend Grampy.

Grampy is a good friend that stops by quite a bit, he has a great blog to.

Hes been working on building a doll house for his granddaughter.

We made the mistake of letting Sadie see his posts about the doll house, now she keeps asking my dad "When are you going to build me a doll house for my stuffies?"

FootBall Sunday

Yesterday being a Sunday during football session, football was on our tv all day.

  Thats just the way its always been.

So Sadie is becoming quite a fan these days, she watched football all day.

The only time she moved was when she went and got my jersey, so I took a picture.

The funny thing is that Sadie's name was almost Devon.

My favorite Bears player is Devon Hester, so I was going to name Sadie, Devon, but we have a friend named Devon, so she was named after a car ( Mercedes) instead.

Sadie says "she wants a Hester jersey tough."

Maybe thats why she takes mine.

Saturday Adventures

Sadie and Jack had their usual Saturday adventure, but they were all inside yesterday.

Sadie and Jack played inside all day, because it was rainy and a bit chilly out.

(Sadie doesn't like the rain, she thinks it will ruin her hair do.)

This week was a little different though.

My husband and I were both born in September, and my mother in law got us a little video recorder thing, for our birthdays.

So Sadie right away said that "she wanted to be a movie star."

So I made a little video clip of Sadie and Jack playing on the couch.

Are You Ready For Football

First off we want to say that, we hope we don't offend any of our friends.

But, Sadie and Maxx's dad was born an Eagle's fan.( Sadie and I are Bears fans)

He has many good memories of going to Veterans stadium with his brother and his dad to see the Eagles play.

Sadie says there are reasons to still like the Eagles, like:

her dad likes them.

The Lincoln Financial Field( their new stadium) is one of the greenest stadium.

her dad likes them.

Brian Westbrook is an awesome running back.

The Linc recycles almost all of their waste, and uses renewable energy.

her dad likes them.

Swoop their mascot.( Maxx likes Swoop)

And did Sadie mention her dad is an Eagles fan.

Today is the first game of the NFL season,(the Eagle are playing Sunday) and yesterday was Sadie and Maxx's Dad's birthday.

One of the things that he wanted for his birthday was a picture of Sadie in her Eagles jersey, but Sadie was just a little pup last year when we got it, so it doesn't fit any more.

So Maxx was eager to step in as Sadie's double for the picture, but Maxx gets an evil grin every time someone mentions their mascot Swoop. (I don't know what that is about)

Maxx mentioned something the one time about sneaking in to the Eagle's locker room to play with Swoop. (but then she had an evils smile on her face)

Maybe she thinks it will be easier to blend in with the player, she really wants to play with Swoop.(Maxx loves Swoop)

Oh, and Sadie wanted to tell you about her blankie.

This is her blanket that she keeps it in her kennel to sleep on.

the funny thing is that her dad had just gotten before we got Sadie, but after Sadie came to live with us, she claimed it for her own.

As for the jersey, I told Sadie that if the Bears go to the Super Bowl this year, maybe she can get a Bears jersey.

So lets go Bears!

Most 'Ear"resistible contest

Did you hear Munchkin Memoirs is having a contest!

The "Ear"resistible contest.

Sadie heard and she won't stop going on about it.

It got worse when she couldn't find anything to do with her ears.

She kept on, saying she wanted to do this contest, and then she really got upset while her ears wouldn't lay down Just right!

(I swear sometimes she is such a spoiled brat)

So I said to her "we could use an older picture."

Sadie said that she liked this one, because she was flying it this picture.

I told her that she wasn't flying, she was running.

She said that she was flying, she was getting a little air born when her ears flopped out and she lifted off the ground a little bit.

So any way we would like to thank Lexus, Bentley and their mom for having the contest.

Sadie's Beauty Secret

Sadie wanted to tell everyone about her beauty secret.

The other day we were in the pet store, and a guy stopped to say hi to Sadie.

He asked if she had any problems with her skin.

He said that he had a wiener dog with a skin problem, we told him that Sadie never had any skin problems.

He also mentioned something about FLEAs.

So here's Sadie's beauty secret, she uses Paul Mitchell.

You may think Paul Mitchell is for humans, but Sadie has been using it for ever.

I always bathed her with Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo for humans.(a little tip I learned as a hair stylist)

But a couple of years ago they came out with the JP Pet line, and when I found out about it, that's what she started to use.

Its an all natural way to control FLEAs. ( all of Paul Mitchell products are natural)

Sadie uses their JP Pets Tea Tree conditioning spray too, ( this is the FLEA controller) about once a week.

Her fur has been so soft and shiny,and the Tea Tree conditioner works as well as stuff like K9 Advantix, with the exception of tics.

Sadie has been using it all summer long, it works great.

In fact we don't use anything on Maxx, she is strictly an indoors cat anyway.

The Tea Tree products are NOT recommended for cats, (sorry to our cat friends) but if they stay indoors its not much of an issue.

Sadie has also been using JP Pet Ear and Eye Wipes too,she doesn't get taters(dirty ears) in her ears now.

By the way in case you are interested JP Pets was tested on human first.

Labor Day

Sadie woke us up bright and early this morning.

She got out of her kennel, and into bed like she always does.

But this morning she was extra excited.

It Labor Day, an extra day off, and for Sadie it means a day for a cook out.

Our family has planned a cook out, all the family will be there.

And Sadie can't wait to go to the grandparent's house to see everybody.

So before we leave for our cook out, we would like to say that, we hope everyone is having a nice long weekend!

We had a Good Saturday

It was Saturday, so Sadie asked if we were going to the grandparent's house.

She gets so excited. ( she knows Jack might be there)

After we arrived at the grandparent's house, Sadie had to try some of Jack's food.

(she loves stealing Jack's food)

After they ate, Jack played ball.

Sadie watched while she laid on the couch with her dad.

(well kinda on his feet)

Jack decided a treat was a good idea.

Sadie heard the crinkle of the treat bag, and come running.

They also did so much running and playing, by the time we left, Sadie decided she needed a little nap.
