we had a few good suggestions for getting Sadie to eat.
Our friend Miley said "She like it when her mom puts warm water on her food."
So that's what I did, I put warm water on Sadie's food.
It didn't work.
Sadie just said " All I was doing was making my finger messy when I feed her."
Momo on the other hand loved it.
He said " It brings out the meaty scent."
Our fiend Kris Said to try a raw diet, her dog and cat can't get enough of it.
I have tried many natural food but I never tried the raw diet, I might give that a try.
Our fiend Twix wants to know how to train her mom to hand feed her too.
Sadie says " It takes time to train people right, you have to not touch you food all day, then watch them very close when they are eating, and finally you have to give them the look. You know the one, the on that says PPLLLEEASE. And if you need any other help tricking or training your Two Leggers you can also ask Frankie. He might know some more trick"

ReplyDeleteYou and Momo should get really fussy and insist that your mom feed you from a FORK. It is even more fun than the finger method. hehehe I taught that one to my two leggers by shivering and doing my most miserable whines. They can't handle that one.
Some nights it takes them until 10:00 to "get" me to eat my supper. WHEEE tons of additional attention over this issue.
I guess Sadie just like to be hand fed, she's a very smart pup!! BOL!!! Sorry mom, hope something else helps!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm back on line and sorry to read that you aren't eating well. I don't have much to offer that wasn't already mentioned but I do like my food warm...with tap water. Maybe you need a change in your diet...something to peak your interests. You gotta eat girlfriend...

An assoicate of mine is a malpoo, who is also a picky eater. Adding a little baby food on top of the food always does the trick.

ReplyDeleteWe love our raw food, but it took me a couple of weeks to transition to it (Harley ate it right away). Now, in the mornings, I race downstairs for breakfast when I used to just sit up there for hours.
ps: I will eat almost anything with a little Nutritional Yeast sprinkled on top. It's yummy!
Our uncle Dan (RIP) used to get hand-fed. But Mommy and Daddy refuse to hand-feed us. Not that they have to though. Our food disappears into our tummies leaving a clean bowl about 2 seconds after Mom and Dad put it in from of us. Mom calls us human garbage disposals. Mom puts plain low-fat yogurt on top of our food. Maybe you would like that Sadie. It is really good for digestion.

Ok, Sadie, I'm gonna try that. I don't think I can go alllll day without touching my food. I really wonder about you and Frankie being true doxies not wanting to eat....who ever heard of that? Has your mom tried canned food?
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I'm telling you this but my mom said to tell your mom.....Sadie is a smart girl and she knows exactly what she is doing. ;0) She will NOT let herself starve. She will eat when she gets hungry enough. We free feed Twix so she just wanders over to her bowl whenever and helps herself. Do you do that with Sadie? It won't take her long to figure out you aren't going to hand feed her anymore....no matter how hard it is for you.
See, Sadie, I told you I couldn't believe I was gonna say that. My mom, she ain't so smart, ya know!
