Feeding Sadie

Most people think it is easy to feed a dog and it is .
Get a dog dish and put food in it.
But they never fed Sadie.
Sadie will gladly eat treat or steal Jack's food.
And I tried giving her the same food Jack eats, but when Jack isn't eating it, she won't eat it either.
But the only way I can get her to eat her dog food is to get down on the floor and pick the food up one by one until I hold up the piece she wants to eat.
So it takes me a little more time to feed Sadie.
We have tried several different dog foods and I even put her food in the microwave. ( because warm food smells more and dogs and cat want to eat it then.)
Sadie says " She is every formal and wants her food served, instead of just eating it from her dish."

  2. You might want to check the ingredients in her food and make sure meat is the first ingredient. Or try a grain-free formula. Or better yet look into feeding raw food - I haven't seen a dog yet that can resist it although it might take a little bit for her to get used to it after eating kibble all her life. My dogs resisted a bit, but now they turn their noses up at kibble. I have the same problem with picky eating with my cats - I changed them to Innova or Wellness grain free food and now they can tell if I try to mix in something else and they turn their noses up. Just a thought. Good luck

  5. Hi, Sadie!
My mom wishes I could take my time to eat my food! She thinks I have no idea how it tastes because I eat it very fast!

  6. OMD Sadie! I can't believe you trained your Mom to feed you one piece of kibble at a time. How did you do that? I soooo need to learn your tricks. You are now my hero!

  7. He, he, he. It sounds very familiar to us, too. Well, Lucy never liked dry food and she always made a wry face when eating food. She loves wursts. But after the 2 stray dogs came into our family, she eats everything. Even dry food, but only if I gave it to her, piece by piece.

  8. That's how I like to eat my treats: hand fed, one piece at a time! But we put our faces in our food bowls and gobble it all down in just a couple of minutes. My Mommeh will not touch our raw meats!
